CBO estimates H.R. 2250 would cost $397 million over the 2025–2030 period (and $58 million after 2030) in discretionary spending subject to appropriation, with no effect on direct spending, revenues, or the deficit.

How implementation would work

The bill reauthorizes the NLHRP’s activities including analyzing, preparing for, and responding to landslide hazards. It also specifies that tribal organizations and Native Hawaiian organizations may receive the benefits of the NLHRP.
